Strongly recommended! There is much to be seen out there and the company operates a fast and stable RIB. The trip normally starts at 14:00, late afternoon is best for watching the tubenoses return to the breeding sites and thus approaching the island. This gives you time in the morning to go birding or relax and prepare for the trip. The trip departs at Quinta do Lordo marina in Canical where you can also have lunch at the restaurant next to the lighthouse.

The first hours are spend travelling to get to the chumming site but of course on the way many short stops are made. The next 3-4 hours you are slowly drifting around the chum, and return to the harbour is around 22:30. More details on;
